Bomb threat forces metro station to be evacuated in Indian capital
Indian capital's subway train service got a bomb threat Wednesday evening which turned out to be a hoax, while hundreds of people were evacuated from a metro station and two markets nearby were closed, said police.
The incident took place in the new satellite city of Gurgaon south of Delhi. A metro station was emptied after the police control room received a call from an unidentified man, who said a bomb was planted in the station's basement.
Police said later the bomb threat was a hoax after over 400 policemen thoroughly searched the station.
Indian authorities have raised security alert following the massacre of school children in neighboring Pakistan on Tuesday in an attack by the Taliban terror outfit.
