James, Love lead Cavaliers over Hornets 97-88

LeBron James scored 27 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers opened with a 21-0 start before beating the Charlotte Hornets 97-88 on Monday night.

James also had 13 assists. Kevin Love had 22 points and 18 rebounds and Irving added 16 points. Kemba Walker led Charlotte with 24 points while Al Jefferson added 14.

The Cleveland Cavaliers enjoyed a perfect 21-0 start before the Hornets getting within two points early in the third quarter, but the Cavaliers ended the third on a 21-9 run.
