Wall has 17 assists, Wizards' run hits 5

John Wall had 21 points and his career-high 17 assists as the Washington Wizards beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-95 on Tuesday night.

John Wall was chosen as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. "He deserved to win Player of the Week. I told him, 'That's no big deal, you deserve it.'" said Wizards coach Randy Wittman.

Seven Wizards finished in double figures. Rasual Butler tied his season high with 23 points. Thaddeus Young had a season-high 29 points for Timberwolves. Shabazz Muhammad had 21.
