After suffering their second loss in last round, leaders Liaoning came back with a 114-106 victory over arch rivals Xinjiang, while Shanghai shocked third-ranked Beijing 115-106 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Lester Hudson finished with a triple-double of 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Liaoning. Deon Thompson and Yang Ming helped with 23 and 20 points respectively.

"We made full preparation for the game, and every player executed our tactics well," said Liaoning head coach Guo Shiqiang.

In the first encounter of this season, Liaoning erased a 21-point deficit to edge Xinjiang 112-111, and they heated up quicker this time with an 8-2 lead after the tip-off.

However, Xinjiang's Xirelijiang hit two consecutive 3-pointers to lead his team's comeback. Capped by Andray Blatche's dunk, Xinjiang used a 12-2 run to bounce back, and led by 26-21 as the first quarter ran out.

Two sides traded the lead several times in the second and third periods. After building a one-point lead into the last 12 minutes, Liaoning took a 9-0 run to pull away, and finally secured the win.

Sebastian Telfair led Xinjiang with 24 points. Blatche helped with 22 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

Micheal Beasley shone in Shanghai's victory with a game-high 35 points and 12 rebounds, one assist shy of a triple-double. Bernard James, another former NBA player, added 19 points and 10 rebounds. Liu Peng got his first win since taking over as Shanghai head coach.

"We won over the defending champ, and it gave us a huge boost," said Liu.

After trailing by four points after the first period, Shanghai got a strong push with a 15-4 run midway through the second, before they extended the margin to as many as 20 points in the last quarter.

Randolph Morris finished with a team-high 29 points and 11 rebounds. Stephon Marbury helped with 24 points on four 3-pointers.

Guangdong recorded their 13th straight win after beating Fujian 109-94. Six Guangdong players got double-digit points, led by Yi Jianlian's 22.
