The Malaysian police had found the stranded vessel in Malaysia's Sabah waters and rescued all the people onboard, the Chinese Consulate in Kuching said on Wednesday.

There were 14 people onboard the vessel, including 10 Chinese tourists, one Malaysian tourist and three crew members, the consulate said.

Liu Quan, the Chinese consul-general in Kuching, said that he received the notice on this from the police at 4:26 a.m., and then made a phone call to one of the tourists aboard the vessel, who said that all of them were quite well.

The vessel was stranded in Sabah waters on Tuesday after losing power on its way back from the Mantanani Islands to Kota Kinabalu, the state's capital.
