Algeria approves draft bill on countering terrorism funding
The Algerian government on Tuesday approved a draft amendment to a law related to fighting money laundering and terrorism funding, local media reported.
Citing a statement of a council of ministers chaired by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Tuesday, APS news agency reported that the draft bill reinforces the legal basis of the decisions taken by the central bank of Algeria and the National Financial Intelligence Processing Unit meant to fight money laundering and terrorism funding.
