Yaya Toure named African Player of the Year
Manchester City's midfielder Yaya Toure wins the African Player of Year award, becoming the first one to win the award four times in a row.
The veteran from Cote d'Ivoire defeated Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama in the competition.
Yaya Toure helped Manchester City take the English Premier League title last season and played the games of 2014 World Cup in Brazil. They were considered to be the reason he won the award.
Toure won the prestigious African award in 2011 for the first time, from then on he was regarded as the talisman of the Man. City and Cote d'Ivoire's national team.
Coaches and technical directors of the 54 members of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) took part in the vote.

Referee of the Year: Papa Bakary Gassama (Gambia)
