Suspected terrorist helper caught in Germany

German police have arrested a suspected terrorist helper at the Dusseldorf Airport, said the police headquarter in Potsdam on Tuesday.

The man who entered Germany from the Turkish capital Ankara has been wanted with an international arrest warrant by the U.S. authorities since 2011.

He should have supported the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) as a "debt collector", said the police.

The IMU is classified as a terrorist organization, according to information in the United States.

The wanted person with Turkish and Dutch nationality should also be proficient with firearms, said the police.

The man has already been brought before a magistrate and is currently in custody.

His delivery is prepared in consultation with the judicial authorities, according to the German Federal Police.
