Bale: I can't see myself at Manchester United
Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale on Wednesday appeared to rule himself out of a big-money move to Manchester United.
Speaking on Spanish radio station, Cadena SER, the Welsh international was questioned about his future in the light of persistent rumors of interest from the English club, who are thought to be willing to pay over 100 million euros for his services.
"I can't imagine myself at Manchester United," he said, adding that: "In a recent interview they asked me if I was unhappy at Real and I told them I'm really happy here."
"I've got several years left on my contract, I'm enjoying myself, we're winning trophies and I want to keep doing that here at Real."
Bale said one of the reasons he wanted to stay was that despite being booed in a recent game for choosing to shoot rather than pass to team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, he enjoyed the atmosphere in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
"I feel support and affection from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd. I want to keep working hard to hopefully be able to show them what I'm capable of on the pitch and win as many trophies as possible," he commented.
Real Madrid won the Champions League and World Club Championship in 2014. They currently lead the Spanish Primera Liga and are favorites to win the Champions League again despite a slight dip in form in the New Year. Bale said that teamwork was one of the main factors for the club' s recent success.
"The reason we've won so many trophies is that everyone works together. Everyone performs to an extremely high level, both in training sessions and in matches," he said.
