Raul Bobadilla's 1-0 winner increases Dortmund's relegation worries meanwhile Leverkusen push Berlin into the drop zone after the 19th round of the German Bundesliga on Wednesday.

Last positioned Dortmund suffered their 11th loss of the season, as Juergen Klopp's men were unable to cancel out Raul Bobadilla's early goal of the second half.

The "BVB" started highly motivated against visitors from Augsburg, who focused on counter attacks. However, it were the visitors who worked out their first noteworthy chance when Ji Dong-Won tired to overcome Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller with a lob from 23 meters.

As the match progressed, Dortmund took over but neither new arrival Kevin Kampel nor Marco Reus was able to break the deadlock from promising positions. Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang staged a better figure in front of Augsburg's goal when he tapped in Marco Reus' cross to the far post. However, his goal was disallowed due to an offside position by the Gabon international.

Things changed for the hosts after the restart as Augsburg shocked Dortmund with the opener five minutes into the second half though Raul Bobadilla, who poked home Halil Altintop's build up play.

Augsburg's Christoph Janker weakened his side with a straight red card following a professional foul to Aubameyang, allowing Dortmund to pile on the pressure in superior number. Nevertheless, Dortmund lacked in accuracy as unmarked Ciro Immobile had the chance to level the scores but instead he headed into the arms of Augsburg goalkeeper Alexnader Manninger in the dying minutes of the game.

With the 11th loss of the season, Dortmund remain on the last position of the standings meanwhile Augsburg climb to fourth position by recording their 11th win.

Hamburg earned vital points in their relegation battle as they downed newly promoted Paderborn 3-0.

The "HSV" caught a bright start into the game as referee Peter Gagelmann awarded the visitors a foul penalty with just eight seconds into the game. Hamburg's Rafael van der Vaart stepped up to convert the penalty for the opener.

Paderborn gained a foothold into the match after the restart when Elias Kachunga rattled the bar to show a vital sign. Hamburg continued to stage a clinical performance in front of Paderborn's danger zone as Marcell Jansen doubled the lead with 72 minutes into the encounter.

The visitors were not done with the scoring as Zoltan Schieber tripled the lead in the closing period to round off the fifth win of the season. With the victory, Hamburg climb out of the bottom onto the 13th place whereas Paderborn slump to the 14th place.

Leverkusen remain on track for the international business as they beat struggling Berlin 1-0 thanks to the decider by Stefan Kiessling. Berlin's offense staged an uninspired performance unable to pose any threat.

Thus, Leverkusen scored the only goal of the game through Stefan Kiessling, who tapped in Wendell's cross into the box after the interval. Leverkusen's first win in 2015 move the "Werkself" on the fifth place whilst Berlin slip on the penultimate spot of the table.

Elsewhere, Bremen earned their second straight win as they beat Hoffenheim 2-1 to inflict the "TSG" the second loss in a row.

Newly promoted Cologne and relegation threatened Stuttgart shared the spoils following a goalless draw.
