      According to an old legend, Mount Bogdo used to be located on the bank of the Ural River. One day two saint Kalmyks decided to bring it to the bank of the Volga River. While they were carrying it from one place to another, a sinful thought crossed the mind of one of them and he fell down under the weight of the burden. The mount squashed the man and turned red. Until now one of the sides of the mount is red.

      这里有一个古老的传说，据说Bogdo山原来是在乌拉尔河沿岸的。有一天，两个卡尔梅克（古蒙古人）的神仙决定要把这座山搬到伏尔加河边上去。

      而正当他们俩正搬着这座山的时候，其中一个人走神了而跌倒了，就这样，大山把他压在了下面，这个人被压死了，而山也被染红了。

      直到现在，这个山的一面仍然是红的。
